Hello and welcome!

I am Delphine and I offer sessions in-person and online (telehealth) from Mondays to Thursdays. I take Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance and self-pay ($190 per session). I am also an Out-of-Network (OON) provider for most insurance (please check with your insurance to see if you have OON benefits, which means that you may get some reimbursement for your self-pay sessions).

Before I further introduce myself, I have a few important questions for you:

Are you looking for a therapist to help you with depression, anxiety or insomnia? Maybe you are still stressed out by the “pandemic blues”? Are you interested in learning more about how your past experiences impact your life today? As many of us, have you experienced traumatic experiences, such as childhood trauma relationship trauma, sexual trauma, among others? If so, do you have episodes of dissociation or you can’t remember parts of your childhood? Or are you an adult facing personal questions or life transitions and would like to talk to someone about it? If you are going through any of these common life challenges, know that you are not alone.

I am an individual therapist specialized in these topics and I have worked with many clients that were going through similar challenges. My clinical approach is patient centered, strength based, solution focused, trauma informed, and mindfulness based. I help clients to learn more about themselves and develop strategies for a more fulfilling life. I believe everyone, including myself, can benefit from mindfulness, which is a tool that enhances our inner power.

My therapeutic modalities include Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems  (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Ego State Therapy, and other somatic interventions. I am fully Certified in EMDR and well trained in the other modalities.

I also work with grief counseling for the loss of a loved one (family member, friend, spouse, pet, a job, among others), and emotional regulation and emotional intelligence. The foundation of this work is to get to our emotions and learn their messages.

Another part of my work refers to both man’s and women’s issues. The role of men and women in society has changed in the last decades. This has led to men and women struggling with their varying expectations at work and at home.  Anxiety and depression may result if men and women feel they are not good providers, good employees, good partners/spouses and lovers, good parents, and else. Therapy can be a healthy opportunity to brainstorm these issues, learn new tools, and feel more confident about making decisions.

I was born in Japan, raised in Wisconsin, and Iowa has become my home a while ago. I attended the University of Iowa and became certified by the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). My belief is that “mindfulness and compassionate living are not just skills I teach and use with my clients, but also personal practices that I believe can better the lives of all those around us”.

Feel free to schedule an appointment HERE. I look forward to working with you.
